Suspended NPP Second Vice Chair- Sammy Crabbe
“Anybody at all can get up” and kick you out of your position by accusing you “frivolously”, suspended Second Vice chair of NPP, Mr. Sammy Crabbe have said. According to him, this practice could in time deter “people of substance” from contesting for positions in the NPP.

The member of the largest opposition party, NPP who expressed his unhappiness at a dismissal of an application he filed against his suspension by his party, the NPP in an interview on StarrFM said,

“I am going to appeal…if I sit down and allow people to use back doors to get rid of people they would not have time to focus on the work ahead of them….In time you would not have people of substance put themselves up for election because anybody at all can get up and throw some frivolous accusation against you and use some disciplinary committee somewhere to get rid of you.”

The Human Rights Court on Thursday dismissed Crabbe’s application seeking to challenge the party’s decision to suspend him on the basis of his refusal to appear before the NPP disciplinary committee amounting to a waiver of his right to be heard.

He was also accused of disrespecting party decisions and offering support to Paul Afoko, the suspended NPP chairman.
